ch. 1 who exactly is Gatsby?

ch.2 what is going on between Tom and Myrtle? is Myrtle hiding something from her husband Wilson?

ch.3 why does Gatsby want to speak to Jordan Baker alone? Why does Nick feel he is one of the few honest people he has ever known? Has someone broke his trust in the past or does he just generally feel that way about everyone?

 ch.4  why do people make so many strange assumptions about Gatsby (he killed a man, he is a bootlegger, he is a German spy...?)
How is Gatsby so powerful? What kinds of connections does he have that the other rich people dont? (he got out of a ticket just by showing the police officer a Christmas card)
Why did Gatsby wait five years for Daisy, a woman who is clearly married, and move close to her just so he could have come over some day? what does he hope to accomplish? 

ch.5 Does Gatsby feel as if he must do somethign nice for Nick too because Nick has offered to help him out with bringing Daisy over to his place? Is Gatsby truly in love with Diasy? otherwise why would he be so nervous about the day they met? (cutting the grass in the rai, having kilpsringer play the piano, freaking out in the middle saying it was a terrible idea?)

ch.6 How does Nick know Gatsby's personal history? Does Gatsby in a way feel like he doesnt fit in with the rest of the rich people? Does Gatsby really think Daisy will leave Tom  for him someday?

ch. 7 why is  Gatsby so stubborn about Daisy, for example how he wants things to be exactly the same as how they were before? Is Daisy confused about who she wants to be with now? her husband who she has a child with or her former lover?

ch. 8 Do Daisy or Tom even feel the slightest bit of shame that they caused an innocent man to die in a way? Daisy was the driver and Tom knew and yet they are both going to sit there in silence and continue on with their lives?

ch.9 In the end does Tom feel relieved if not happy in a way that Gatsby died? how can he just talk about it to simply with Nick saying that he got what was coming to him?
